Consolidating multiple analyses into a single, usable, information set
|Situation||A large global maritime enterprise faced a number of critical issues. As pressure mounted on the executive team, various leaders across the organization commissioned independent studies to determine the next best steps. The result was five conflicting analyses-all focused on the same general issue, but using different terms, priorities, and objectives. The multiple analyses led to many departments expending resources-often on the same issues-without awareness of what others were doing. This increased costs, and caused staff confusion and conflict.|

Users could enter a topic and immediately see how it aligned to all other analyses. When determining the appropriate solutions for key issues, the system mapped each to other related issues across the analyses. Leaders could prioritize issues and align solutions and resources-providing an indication of the value of any particular solution. This alignment saved hundreds of thousands of dollars as standard solutions for common issues became easier to identify and develop.
