Proofpoint Supports Silicon Valley Satellite Patent Office

The Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG) announced a plan by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to open one of its regional patent offices in Silicon Valley.

The Links, Inc. Deploys Proofpoint Project Management System

This week The Links, Inc. began use of the Proofpoint Systems project management application. More than 12,000 members in 274 chapters are expected to have access to the Proofpoint application.

DHS Uses Proofpoint For Air Domain Gap Analysis

This week, subject matter experts (SME) and executives from eleven components of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) completed an assessment of air domain awareness (ADA) using the Proofpoint performance analysis system.

This assessment follows a similar analysis of the maritime domain (MDA) conducted by the Department of Defense (DoD) and more than 20 interagency partners, again using Proofpoint.

The results of the ADA assessment included a prioritized list of vulnerabilities and the solutions necessary to mitigate the gaps.

USC research the basis for new Proofpoint Moxie product

Proofpoint Systems provided a pre-release announcement of a new tool - the Moxie Coefficient. The Moxie Coefficient is a quick assessment of leadership confidence associated with a particular plan or project. The basis of the tool is doctoral research conducted by Dr. Jim Hill, Proofpoint's CEO, while he was a student at the University of Southern California.

Genesis of DOTMLPF

DOTMLPF is an acronym and mnemonic that is pronounced: "dot-mil-p-f." Once you say it aloud, it is easier to read and remember. The DOD looks at performance in terms of capabilities. Their gap analysis process is part of the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS). They use DOTMLPF at the front end to assist planners consider a range of solutions when addressing performance improvement issues.

Six Steps to Putting Performance in the Performance Review

The employee performance review process continues to get poor marks. A Wall Street Journal article (Nov 8, 2008, p. B8), reported that in a survey of 750 HR professionals, 58% grade their performance management systems a C or below. On top of that, only 30% of employees have a sense of trust in these systems.

Defense Department Extends Global Security Cooperation Contract with Proofpoint Systems
